Mr. Dimitris Soukaras obtained his four-year diploma from Department of Informatics and Telecommunications of University of Peloponnese (UoP). He is currently an M.Sc. student at Department of Informatics and Telecommunications of National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (UoA). He served as a software engineer during his bachelor internship in ARLES team of INRIA Paris in the field of Internet of Things and sensor networks. He serves as a research fellow in the Software Centric & Autonomic Networking (SCAN) team of the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (UoA) under the supervision of Prof. Nancy Alonistioti since 2013. He has been involved in several EU projects including FIspace, FRACTALS and SPECIFI. He serves as a system administrator of SCAN team’s in-house cloud infrastructure. His main research interests are Internet of Things, Software-Defined Networking, cloud management and LTE in 5G.
