The SHINE Project: Advancing Cervical Cancer Prevention Through Innovation

The SCAN Laboratory of NKUA is pleased to participate in the upcoming workshop on the Prevention of Cervical Cancer, taking place on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at 18:00, at Kosmoiatriki Iliou (Thivon 439, Ilion, Athens).
The event will present the research project SHINE – “Early diagnosis of HPV-associated intraepithelial neoplasia through a novel epigenetic test”, an initiative focused on advancing early detection and improving screening strategies for cervical cancer.
During the workshop, attendees will have the opportunity to:
• Learn about HPV in a clear and accessible way
• Meet researchers involved in the SHINE project
• Receive information about HPV self-sampling methods
As a partner of the SHINE consortium, SCANLab supports research efforts that aim to strengthen prevention, early diagnosis, and public awareness around HPV-related diseases.
The event is open to the public and aims to promote informed discussion on cervical cancer prevention and innovative screening approaches.
