The SCAN research laboratory of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, in cooperation with Intracom Telecom, will provide consulting services, offering professional advice, guidance, innovative solutions for examination and decision making on open problems. In addition, aiming at the design and development of innovative mechanisms related to the Internet of Things, the SCAN laboratory will apply innovative methods of pre-processing, statistical analysis, development of mechanisms to maximize the volume of collected data from heterogeneous sources, in order to extract a new integrated data collection for use by AI and especially Machine Learning mechanisms. In addition, aiming at air quality prediction, the SCAN laboratory will design and develop AI and Machine Learning algorithms focusing on time series models and offering integrated solutions for early detection and prediction of air quality indicators, exploiting the heterogeneous sensor data provided – by Intracom – as well as weather data from selected application programming interfaces (APIs).
